Office Coordinator & Administrative Assistant

Aliya joined the TaylorMade Experience team in 2017 as the Office Coordinator & Administrative Assistant. She graduated from James Madison University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and a minor in General Business. Prior to working at TME, Aliya served as the Special Events Director for the University Program Board, where she lead her committee and her chairs in planning, executing, and marketing for two events per month for the university’s students and faculty, as well as the public. In addition to this position, Aliya also served as Themed Event Manager for her Advanced Event Management Capstone Course, where her and her team planned, coordinated, and executed a complex themed event for family and friends over a 10-month period. In order to get more experience with meeting and conference planning, Aliya interned with the National Education Association (NEA) in the summers of 2016 and 2017, where she helped with the annual Representative Assembly. This internship confirmed her interest to plan events for non-profit organizations. In the summer of 2017, Aliya planned and executed a fundraising event for Return Us Home (RUSH), which further sparked her interest in the fundraising sector of non-profit event planning. Aliya is excited to learn even more through her new position with the TME team! 

Aliya was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD, but hopes to venture to different places as she progresses in her career.
