Trish Carrier

TME Associate

Trish Carrier has over 16 years of nonprofit experience to include roles as a board president, executive director, development officer, independent consultant, and volunteer.  For the past three years, she has been working with many nonprofits around the country supporting event management, prospect research and outreach, transportation logistics and registration.  Past work experience includes being  the Aquarium Fund Manager for the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Foundation and the Executive Director of the Norfolk NATO Festival, formerly Norfolk’s Azalea Festival.  From successfully leading annual fund campaigns and participating in capital campaigns to producing auctions, galas, and festivals, she has worked with a variety of nonprofits.  

Trish earned her undergraduate degree in Marine Science and Geology from the University of Miami and her master’s degree in Marine Science from the College of William and Mary’s Virginia Institute of Marine Science. She holds a Certificate of Nonprofit Management and recently served on the board for the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as the Government Relations Chair.   

Fun Fact:  Trish raises oysters off her dock in support of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s oyster restoration efforts and is a volunteer on the Virginia Aquarium’s Stranding Response Team.
